Characteristics of Maturing Christians (Revelation 2:18-29)

1. Grow in Awe of Christ
A. Awe of Christ leads to more passionate worship.
B. Awe of Christ leads to more faithful obedience.

2. Grow in Christlikeness
A. Love is displayed in service.
B. Faith is displayed in endurance.

3. Grow in Hatred of Sin
A. We need to be saved.
B. We need to know God more.
C. We need to realize that sin is from Satan.
D. We need to consider the consequences of sin.
E. We need to reflect on the cross of Christ.

4. Grow in the Truth
A. Hold fast to the truth.
B. Hang on for the reward.
