Thursday Morning
As I sat down to write this with my coffee and the sun from a beautiful Ethiopian sunrise warming up my shoulders I was interrupted by a beautiful boy smiling at me through the slates of his crib. Of course I had to stop and take care of my little man. The diaper has been changed and the bottle along with rice cereal now sit in his belly waiting for it to trigger the other end. Micah is a steam roller. He loves to roll around and every now and then he will prop himself up on his elbows and do this little dance with his shoulders in which he sways back and forth. Very cute. I have failed to mention this earlier but Micah has an awesome birthmark on his lower belly. It is in the shape of a heart. Very distinct. How awesome is that. Check picture below.

I don’t think Sarah is sleeping very well so she is still asleep. Today is the embassy appointment and I don’t know what I should be thinking right now. The people over here act like it is no big deal, but that is not the vibe I got from other parents. So as usually we will just go with the flow and trust in God.
I will post later and tell you how the embassy appointment went.

That is cool. I just got to work and I am getting in the flow. A different flow than Micah. As always our prayers are with you. We will find out today if the big snow is coming or not. By listening to the weather man I think not. Should be south of us. It was beautiful driving in this morning. Dark, 26 degrees and the wind blowing a little out of the north. Wish you were here. ENJOY THE SUN! ALL THREE OF THEM! Have a great day and our prayers are with you. See you soon.
God bless,
Glenn

I just got settled in to work and I have received your text message, so I know that yout embassy appointment is done and all is well, hope you had a great time enjoying the scenry that God Created! Love the picture of the birthmark, and the other pic of that wonderful smile.
We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign.
Revelation 11:17

The birthmark is very neat! He looks so happy and enjoying his new parents. I pray all goes well at the embassy and you can find yourself on a plane home tomorrow! Safe travels!

I too have been drinking coffee, reading my Bible and doing it with my sons looking at me. What a joy! We are loving the updates here on our end and I am so glad that all went well at the Embassy. Is the new building open yet or are they still building it?
We had a great family night last night and I showed everyone the pictures of Micah and I read your most recent blog post to the church family. We are all so excited for you all.
Enjoy your last day and a half in country...take it all in....and I am really glad to hear that you had coffee Sarah! It sounds like you guys have had some awesome experiences while you were there.
Do you have any specific prayer requests that we can pray for you? Has there been any specific Bible texts that God has really used for you all this week while you have been in Ethiopia? You know me...just have to know how God is speaking to you through His Word!
Can't wait for you all to be back so we can hear all the stories straight from both of you. The girls are doing great and seemed to be fine last night. I know they are ready for you all to come home.
Blessings to you.....keep posting.

When the boys were checked out at the doctor when we first returned, the doctors looked for Mongolian spots. 90% of people with African heritage have them. The boys have a few too. None of them are in the shape of a heart. That is probably pretty unique! In essence, they are really just harmless birthmarks like you said.
Congratulations on passing your embassy appointment. Big relief! Now praying for all needed travel documents to be placed in your hand. Also praying for safe travel and a healthy, happy baby and parents on the return flight. Take note of what the airplane looks like when you land in US. Trash everywhere from so many children and such a long flight.
Praise Him! Praise Him!

Micha has the most beautiful smile!!! Continuing to pray for your safe return home. We are missing you guys here!
What an infectious smile! His whole face lights up! I mean really, if he is as happy as he looks... almost unbelievable!
Also, for what it's worth... I didn't see the post before mine until after I had saved it and we both commented on his beautiful smile!
