Helpful Article On "Distractions"

A few weeks ago, while I was preaching, I stated that one of the greatest (meaning most destructive) works of Satan in our lives is busyness and a constant desire to be "doing something" all the time.  This type of busyness keeps us, many times, focusing on the deep things of God.

Heaven Book Study Discussion

We just finished our first live gathering to discuss the book Heaven that we have been reading.  It was awesome.  I am so thankful for those that attended and the depth of thought given to the night.

Why This Weekend Is So Important

As we continue through the book of Matthew, the text we will examine is such a reminder of why this weekend (and every Sunday) is so important.  Jesus tells His disciples (and us) in the 24th chapter that war, famine, earthquakes, strife, etc. will always be a part of these days.  But then He says in Matthew 24:13:  But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

"Heaven" book study questions now available!

Joseph And His Amazing Theology

The story of Joseph may be best known because of a Broadway play that bears his name and chronicles his ability to intrepret dreams.  Well, as I have read through the book of Genesis again, I am in awe of his mind and his thinking.

Just a quick update on a few things for you to be in prayer about.  As winter continues to rage outside...it is crazy how much snow we have gotten....but anyway, as winter continues to rage on, here is something to point you towards summer.  VBS dates have been set.  DBC will have VBS July 5-9 with our family night finale on Sunday night July 11.  This is always an exciti

Snow, Snow, Snow

With the joy of building a house and moving a very short distance from the church building, I have had to do something everyone else does every week, but something I have not done for almost 6 years.  It is the task of getting in a car and driving to the church building for worship during our service times.  Yesterday morning, I was greeted with snowy and icy windows and frozen win
